Salisbury boards launch Missing Middle Zoning initiative with June workshop

Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of June 1, 2026

Salisbury Planning Board and Affordable Housing Trust jointly launch Missing Middle Zoning initiative targeting working families. The boards, working with Innes Land Strategies Group, identified Bridge Road, Lafayette Road, Elm Street, and Rabbit Road as candidate districts for smaller homes, duplexes, triplexes, and quadplexes. A public workshop is scheduled June 23, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Public Library; the group will distribute promotional information to SCTV and local cable.

Once district boundaries are finalized, the zoning proposal advances to Town Meeting for voter approval.
