Watercolor Class With Pixie Yates Fills Up Ahead of Salisbury Days

SALISBURY — The Salisbury Public Library's watercolor painting workshop with artist Pixie Yates filled to capacity for Saturday's session, and the library has begun a waitlist as Salisbury Days weekend brings extra foot traffic to town.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Saturday's watercolor painting class with Pixie Yates, free and fully supplied, reached capacity and closed to walk-ins, according to the library's event calendar. Residents hoping for a future session are asked to contact the library directly at jcox@salisburylibrary.org or (978) 465-5071 X236 to be added to a waitlist; the class is sponsored by the Friends of the Salisbury Library.

The sellout came as the library geared up for Salisbury Days, the town's Fair in the Square weekend event. On Sunday, September 20, the library will offer a free round, or two, of mini golf inside its meeting and children's activity rooms, open to all ages with no sign-up required, sponsored again by the Friends of the Salisbury Library.

COMING UP

Story Hour returns to the library's Children's Activity Room on Monday, September 21, at 10:30 a.m., drop-in with no registration required. On Tuesday, September 22, the library hosts Mini Makers at 3:30 p.m., a hands-on look at colonial-era children's activities that requires registration through nchouinard@salisburylibrary.org, followed by the recurring Tarot Talk Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Salisbury Planning Board meets Wednesday, September 23, at 7 p.m., the same day the library holds its regular Yoga with Lisa Bernson class at 10:30 a.m. and Story Hour at 1 p.m.
